Surgical Tech

The Surgical Technician demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures.

• Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures.
• Set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases.
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgeries.
• Pull and assist cases as needed, and break down cases at the end of the procedure.
• Set up the operating room and supplies for the day and for the following day’s schedule.
• Be available for call on an assigned/scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Graduate of Surgical Technician Program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.

1 year experience as surgical technician.

BLS.

Surgical Technology Certification.
