Ophthalmology Tech; Pool - Eye Clinic

As an Ophthalmology Technician at Valley wise Health, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting our Ophthalmologists in providing exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostic eye tests, measure vision and eye function, and assist with procedures that help detect and treat eye disorders in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic.

• Education
  • Requires a High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Prefer graduation from an Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician program.
• Experience
  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year experience as an ophthalmic technician or ophthalmic assistant.
• Certification/Licensure
  • Requires Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification; OR be able to obtain the required certification within nine (9) months of hire.
  • A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is required at time of hire.
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card
