. Southwest Behavioral and Health Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Front Office Representative who can help us fulfill our mission: “Delivering compassionate care to enhance lives and improve communities.” We are looking for someone who enjoys coordinating with people, is organized, and has excellent communication skills.
- Process medication refill requests, prior authorizations, and lab results.
- Manage prescriber schedules and act as a liaison between consumers, prescribers, and other clinical staff.
- Administer injections as needed.
- Make client contact calls for customer service follow‑up and complaint resolution.
- Establish, update, and maintain all client databases and scheduling of consumer appointments.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and current documentation of contact with consumers and services provided.
- Coordinate transportation as clinically necessary/appropriate.
- Coordinate care and needs in accordance with established policies, procedures and clinical protocols.
- Obtain vital signs for prescribers.
- Schedule medication, counseling, and intake appointments.
- Complete intake referrals and screening.
- Call to reschedule appointments when clinical staff are out unexpectedly.
- Perform general clerical duties for the clinic as requested/assigned by the Front Office Supervisor, Program Director and/or Administrative Coordinator.
- Greet consumers and answer all incoming phone calls by third ring.
- Check clients in/out.
- Confirm/update consumer contact information.
- Verify consumer eligibility/enrollment prior to appointment: AHCCCS, RBHA/agency, Limited Income Subsidy, Medicare Part
D. - Process transfer requests.
- Collect client fees/copay.
- May be expected to work at various SB&H locations as required.
Metro Outpatient Clinic – full‑time, 40 hours per week.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior clerical experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting (consideration given for coursework in lieu of part of the experience).
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical or behavioral health background.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- 3 weeks of PTO in the first year of employment, with increased accruals after continued service.
