RN Coordinator Transfer Center FT Nights Position Summary
To coordinate Transfer Center transfers from the initial call through patient discharge and follow-up, providing the highest quality service to physicians, nurses, patients, and other medical professionals.
Special SkillsMust possess the ability to interact and communicate in English, both orally and written, with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and families in an effective manner, exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience. Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
SupervisesTransfer Center EMT / Paramedic
Education, Licensure, and Experience- Minimum education: Associates Degree in Nursing, or equivalent, from an accredited program.
- Preferred education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum experience: 4 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Preferred experience: RN experience in an ER / Trauma, Neurosciences and / or Cardiovascular setting. Knowledge of, and the ability to apply Inter Qual criteria.
- Required certifications/licensure: Current Arizona, or other compact state, Registered Nurse license; BLS.
- Preferred certifications/registration: ACLS; applicable professional certification i.e. CCRN, CEN, CNRN.
