Banner Imaging offers a customer-focused team that provides a comprehensive range of Medical Imaging procedures in a friendly work environment and career growth opportunities. In this role, you will perform a variety of ultrasound exams to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. Diagnostic Imaging at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is busy, fast paced, and gives you the opportunity to do what you do best:
Providing excellent care for patients. Technologists here use state of the art digital imaging equipment to perform over 350 exams per day. Our department supports Diagnostic Imaging services for Inpatients, Outpatients, and Patients in the Ortho/Spine Clinic and the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.

Monday- 10am-8:30pm

Tuesday-10am-8:30pm

Friday- 12p-12:30am

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for 2 Ultrasound certifications.

CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Performs all exams by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Adheres to established protocols and provides all pertinent patient information utilized by Radiologist for complete dictation. Uses independent judgement and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for all ultrasound exams. Scanning competencies should include all patient ages, acuity levels and classes, independently and without quality issues. Performs problem solving, triages orders and effectively communicates findings with Radiologist.

    Produces efficient images with high quality output. Performs ultrasound guided procedures and works closely with radiologist or provider.

  • Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in all interactions. Fosters teamwork, ensures efficient use of resources and advocates for quality patient outcomes which aid in diagnosis and care plan.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert within their 2 registries. May present at team meetings and/or participate in other opportunities to improve quality. Performs quality control checks on images and equipment as requested.
