Position: Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $2,155 per week

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks

• Must have Level 1 trauma experience

• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on 22-bed unit with private rooms

• Holiday coverage based on unit needs

• Required to pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts maximum)

• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail requirement)

• Additional training includes lifts, restraints, and wound care

• 2 shifts of unit orientation with preceptor

• Float to other med/surg/telemetry areas as needed (travelers float first)

• Care for patients with post-op conditions, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infections

• Titrate Heparin drips (no cardiac drips)

• Must maintain sterile field competency

• Recent med/surg experience required; telemetry and charge nurse experience preferred

• BLS certification required

• Must have own vehicle for travel

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, no facial piercings

• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing

• 3 weekend days required per pay period (Saturday/Sunday)

• Self-scheduling 4 weeks at a time

• Charting system:
Cerner

• No call or standby requirements
