Director Infection Prevention

Overview

Phoenix, Arizona – Infection Prevention Program Director – Day shift – Risk, Quality and Safety – Infection Control‑Corp.

• Manage and supervise activities related to the prevention, control, documentation and reporting of nosocomial acquired infections and communicable diseases across critical care units.
• Set standards and evaluate compliance for practices associated with the prevention and control of healthcare‑associated infections; surveillance, analysis, reporting.
• Design, lead and maintain a hospital‑based infection prevention and control program.
• Coordinate infection prevention and control program, develop policies and procedures ensuring compliance with JC, OSHA, CDC, CMS.
• Serve as subject matter expert for staff, leaders, medical staff, patients, community; initiate epidemiological investigations.
• Prepare reports and statistical data for committees and administration.
• Lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams; problem analysis, project management, conflict resolution.

• Master’s in Public Health (MPH), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree in other healthcare‑related field (or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience).
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
• Proficiency level with five years experience in infection prevention or disease surveillance in public health setting.
• Demonstrated skill in leading and facilitating multi‑disciplinary teams, project management, conflict resolution, oral and written presentations.

• Computer skills, research and basic statistical knowledge.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
