- Manage claim errors in the claims management system to ensure timely submission of clean claims to insurance carriers
- Review and prepare claims for both manual and electronic billing submissions
- Analyze insurance rejections to determine appropriate action steps and gather necessary information for resolution
- Correct billing errors and resubmit claims to insurance carriers as needed
- Verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility to facilitate claims processing
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in medical billing
- Strong knowledge of resolution to payor edit reports and reconciliation of clearinghouse and payor acceptance reports
- Experience working on claim errors in a claims management system preferred
- Knowledge of ANSI formatting preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing software and claims management systems
- Additional certifications in medical billing or coding
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in musculoskeletal management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with payors and patients
