What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Manage claim errors in the claims management system to ensure timely submission of clean claims to insurance carriers
  • Review and prepare claims for both manual and electronic billing submissions
  • Analyze insurance rejections to determine appropriate action steps and gather necessary information for resolution
  • Correct billing errors and resubmit claims to insurance carriers as needed
  • Verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility to facilitate claims processing
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in medical billing
  • Strong knowledge of resolution to payor edit reports and reconciliation of clearinghouse and payor acceptance reports
  • Experience working on claim errors in a claims management system preferred
  • Knowledge of ANSI formatting preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and claims management systems
  • Additional certifications in medical billing or coding
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in musculoskeletal management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with payors and patients
