Chief Compliance Officer

Under the direction of the President & Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors, the Chief Compliance Officer (CO) leads the system-wide compliance, privacy and ethics program. The CO is responsible for ensuring enterprise compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, and standards, including those of accrediting bodies and internal policies. Serving as the primary executive responsible for the compliance program for the health system, the CO will foster a culture of integrity, transparency and ethical behavior, while proactively identifying and mitigating risk, including ongoing risk assessment and training.

Annual Salary Range: $ - $

• Requires a Juris Doctorate or Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH) or Business Administration (MBA), or related field strongly preferred.

• Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare compliance, that may include healthcare legal experience.
• Preference towards senior compliance leadership experience and experience in Behavioral Health, Level I Trauma Centers, and/or Academic Medical Centers.

• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC or equivalent) required.

• Deep knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, HRSA, OIG compliance guidance and 340B.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, manage risk in a diverse healthcare setting, and foster a culture of compliance and ethics.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others in handling complex issues.
• Requires strong problem solving, influencing and sound business judgment skills.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
