Registered Behavior Technician; RBT

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training so you are equipped and empowered to help each child. The role involves working with children who can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, and requires physical activity such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Support reduction of interfering behaviors and monitor progress

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and a TB test (if not current)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, squat, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
