Acute CT Technologist
Job SummaryPerforms computed tomography (CT) examinations for acute and emergency patients. Operates CT equipment, ensures accurate imaging, and maintains patient safety throughout procedures.
Education & Experience- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of CT or acute care imaging experience (Preferred)
- ARRT certification (Required)
- CT certification/registry (Required or Preferred based on facility requirements)
- State radiologic technologist license, where applicable (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Performs CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepares and positions patients for accurate and safe imaging.
- Operates CT equipment and ensures high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administers contrast media as authorized and monitors patients for reactions.
- Responds promptly to urgent and emergency imaging requests.
- Maintains radiation safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
- Documents procedures accurately and maintains appropriate patient records.
