Grand Canyon University is a regionally accredited private Christian university located in Phoenix, Arizona. We are seeking a Title IX Investigator for our main campus, looking to strengthen the diversity of our academic community.
LocationMain Campus, 33rd and Camelback, Phoenix, Arizona.
What You Will Do- Assist the Deputy Title IX Coordinator with cases related to Title IX, Non-Discrimination Policy, and equitable grievances.
- Intake, analyze, and document initial complaints of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct; determine appropriate resolution processes.
- Conduct outreach to potential complainants, provide resources, process information, and reasonable accommodations.
- Maintain confidentiality, conduct fact‑finding, and interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
- Prepare investigative reports and maintain records of outreach, responses, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Title IX Coordinator to monitor incidents of discrimination or misconduct.
- Provide timely updates to the Deputy Title IX Coordinator on complaint status.
- Develop and distribute educational materials regarding reporting of discrimination and harassment.
- Assist with data reporting in Title IX, 504, and diversity databases.
- Stay current on state and federal laws related to harassment and discrimination.
- Assist in education, training, and outreach for Institutional Equity and Compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment background investigation.
- Demonstrated support for the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and mission.
- Master’s degree.
- Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA regulations, higher‑education student conduct, FERPA, or related experience.
