Contract (W2)

We seek a talented Front‑End UI (React) Engineer to deliver responsive, high‑performance user interfaces for enterprise applications, with a strong focus on the American Express (Amex) One Data/One App components.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain front‑end components using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain responsive, high‑performing UI across devices and browsers.
• Implement and optimize front‑end frameworks and libraries such as Redux, Material‑UI, or similar.
• Collaborate with back‑end teams to design, troubleshoot, and integrate APIs effectively.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize Dev Ops practices and version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage development and deployment processes.
• Contribute to performance tuning, UI optimization, and improving user experience.
• Leverage prior Amex experience to support development and integration with One Data/One App components.

• At least 6 years of hands‑on experience in front‑end development.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js.
• Experience with front‑end state management and UI libraries such as Redux, Material‑UI, or equivalents.
• Proven experience with API design, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
• At least 1 year of Amex experience with One Data/One App components (highly preferred).

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to testing frameworks for front‑end applications (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
