Overview

We are seeking a senior Data Analyst / Tableau Reporting Analyst with strong experience in Tableau reporting, SQL querying, and data analytics. This role will focus on developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, performing detailed data analysis, and working closely with both business and technical stakeholders to map, identify, validate, and reconcile data fields across multiple data sources. A significant portion of data mapping and validation is performed outside core systems using spreadsheets, making strong Excel proficiency essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reports.
• Write and optimize SQL queries including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and performance-tuned queries.
• Work closely with data engineers, product owners, and business users to understand business requirements and data definitions.
• Perform field mapping, data lineage analysis, and source-to-target validation, including extensive mapping and reconciliation performed in Excel spreadsheets.
• Identify, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data discrepancies across multiple data sources.
• Support data quality checks, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Document data logic, field definitions, calculations, and reporting specifications.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau .
• 8-10+ years of BI and Data analysis expereince
• Strong knowledge of Tableau dashboard design , including filters, parameters, calculated fields, and performance best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL , including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of data analytics and data analysis techniques .
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , as a significant volume of data mapping and validation is performed outside system tools using spreadsheets, including:
• Advanced formulas and functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH)
• Pivot tables and advanced calculations
• Data cleaning, reconciliation, and validation
• Macros (preferred)
• Experience with field mapping, data lineage, and source-to-target validation .
• Experience working with data warehouses such as SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
