Database Administrator, Data Analyst
Overview
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a Financial Systems Analyst to work in any WBD location and be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of the firm's financial systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Aderant, Intapp Time, Chrome River, Bill Blast, Rocket
- Paperless Prebill, and SQL queries. The role will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing routine environmental maintenance, and actively participating in system upgrades and other project-related initiatives. The Financial Systems Analyst will report to the Financial Systems Manager and work closely with the Finance and IT departments to ensure the integrity, reliability, and optimal performance of all financial applications.
- Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Use SQL cursors to iterate through datasets for row-by-row operations where set-based logic is insufficient.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and functions to support business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support system upgrades, data migrations, and integration projects involving SQL-based databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and system functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years related experience preferred.
- Experience with Aderant (accounting database), Intapp Time (time management system), Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, electronic workflow systems, and other standard software (Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize complex, detail-oriented tasks and make sound, informed decisions. Highly self-motivated.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with database systems and supporting interface platforms; ability to understand and work within integrated systems.
- Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of internal clients.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department as needed.
The national average salary range for this role with 1 to 3 years of experience is $70,000-$100,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications and experience.
