This is a hybrid role; time working will regularly take place inside and outside of the company office.

This role is responsible for implementing technical data protection solutions across the bank by applying engineering principles and technical expertise. It includes data discovery, data mapping, enhancing the bank’s data inventory, and automating operational processes. The role requires analyzing requirements, designing, and delivering scalable technical solutions. Experience with enterprise data protection platforms and knowledge of industry practices within a regulated industry is required.

• Develop working knowledge of technology, emerging threats, privacy and security trends within the assigned technical area.
• Contribute to technical projects that interact with other business units; ensure training is planned and completed related to current trends, threats, and applicable technologies.
• Develop, deploy, and expand Data Protection platform solutions including One Trust, BigID, or similar platforms (Service Now, Archer, Symantec, Purview) and reporting solutions such as Tableau (preferred).
• Administer tools and processes that implement Data Protection controls, including working knowledge of REST and SOAP-based APIs; experience with data structure inspection technologies such as JSON, XML, REGEX, and Python.
• Expertise in at least one language such as Java or Python, with familiarity in data structures, algorithms, runtime complexity, APIs, database design, and unit and functional test methodologies.
• Experience in software development, testing and code review in general‑purpose languages, agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
• Perform testing and debugging of the bank’s Data Protection platform, and document procedures for installation, operations, and maintenance.

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in application software programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in application software programming.
