Power BI Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a skilled Power BI Analyst to design and develop dashboards that support a large IT business operations organization. You’ll collaborate across teams to bring together data from multiple sources, build intuitive visualizations, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.

• Data Analysis:
  Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to drive decision‑making.
• Dashboarding & Reports:
  Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and paginated reports aligned to stakeholder needs.
• Data Integration:
  Connect to diverse data sources (e.g., SQL, APIs, flat files) and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Collaboration:
  
  Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Performance & Optimization:
  Monitor usage and performance; optimize models, DAX, and queries for speed and maintainability.
• Documentation:
  Maintain clear documentation of data sources, models, and processes.
• Quality Assurance:
  Conduct testing, validation, and peer reviews to ensure reliable outputs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst (end‑to‑end development: data prep; modeling; DAX; visualization).
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Experience with data modeling and database management (e.g., star/snowflake schema, relationships).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

• Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik).
• SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases/cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern ELT/ETL patterns.
• Experience supporting public sector or utility operations is a plus.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
