Systems Engineer
This is a full time Dev Ops Engineer opportunity based in Phoenix, AZ, working with a local software organization that builds AI and machine learning platforms for highly regulated industries. The team develops automation and data driven tools that improve operational efficiency, safety, and compliance within complex systems.
The environment blends on prem and cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure and AWS), and you’ll work with hands on modern Dev Ops tooling like Git Hub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Python. - 3+ years of experience in a Dev Ops, Systems Engineering, or related infrastructure role
- Strong experience with CI/CD automation tools (preferably Git Hub Actions or similar)
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker or Podman
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm for basic deployment and maintenance tasks
- Experience managing both on‑prem and cloud environments (AWS or Azure preferred)
- Solid understanding of networking, system monitoring, and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to reason through technical challenges independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across small teams
- Experience with Azure Gov Cloud or AWS Gov Cloud environments
- Background in maintaining or scaling infrastructure for SaaS or enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of automation for security, compliance, or system monitoring
- Familiarity with hybrid or multi‑cloud infrastructure setups
- Exposure to CI/CD best practices beyond maintenance‑building reusable templates or modules
- Understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration concepts
- Experience supporting production systems in highly regulated industries
- Interest in working with AI or machine learning platforms from an infrastructure perspective
- Ability to mentor junior engineers or collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams
- Strong curiosity for learning new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency
