Data Center Technician, ADC InfraOps DCO Tech

Position Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers and their servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The Data Center Technician is a primary resolver for the support team, troubleshooting one or more operating systems and resolving all but the most complex infrastructure issues. The role requires creating and maintaining documentation, conveying SOPs to junior staff, and making independent decisions while following direction when necessary.

• Rotating shifts, including 3‑, 4‑, or 5‑day/night work weeks, with potential changes based on business needs.
• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
• Position will be filled at one of multiple separate sites.

• Primary resolver for the support team, troubleshooting operating systems and infrastructure issues.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate resolver groups when needed.
• Create and maintain documentation and SOPs for the technologies supported.
• Execute small projects independently and collaborate on larger local projects with manager.
• Act as escalation point for junior technicians.

• High school or equivalent diploma; or A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+ certification.
• Current, active US Government security clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
• 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• US citizen required, with an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

The base pay for this position ranges from $62,500 per year in the lowest geographic market up to $139,700 per year in the highest geographic market.
