Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing
A global infrastructure services and consulting organization is currently seeking an Azure Architect to support and evolve large scale cloud environments for public sector clients. The role will be focused on designing, building, securing and supporting production Azure infrastructure used by state government agencies.
In this high impact role, you'll work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to architect and maintain secure, scalable, highly available Azure environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience supporting Azure in production, strong infrastructure-as-code fundamentals, and a consultative mindset. The role will combine hands on engineering with operational ownership, including production support, incident response, and continuous improvement on cloud platforms.
Contract Duration: 1- 2 years
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud architecture roles
- Hands on experience designing, building and supporting Azure environments
- Strong expertise with Azure Dev Ops for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Experience with IAC tooling such as ARM, Bicep or Terraform
- Deep familiarity with Azure core services including compute, networking, storage, identity, and security
- Proven experience supporting live production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
- Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts (VNets, peering, VPNs, Express Route, NSGs)
- Experience implementing and maintaining Azure governance, security controls, and best practices
- Experience supporting public sector clients
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and alerting strategies
- Exposure to identity and access management using Entra
