West Coast Video Coordinator; Seasonal

Major League Baseball is seeking a West Coast Video Coordinator (Seasonal) to join its Draft Operations department and support the group's key video operations objectives. The role involves identifying and capturing video of high-level amateur prospects, handling video operations administrative tasks, and supporting other department goals. The coordinator works in a fast-paced environment and gains hands-on experience in amateur baseball.

• Identify and capture video of amateur prospects in a designated coverage area for the current draft year and future draft years
• Attend and collect video at various summer and fall showcases and events
• Upload video to an online file-sharing system for editing
• Log player information into the online scouting system and submit it to the Manager and Editor
• Organise and plan cost-effective methods of travel
• Project a positive role as a goodwill ambassador for Major League Baseball
• Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, player advisors, and scouting staff
• Perform video editing and other special duties as assigned by the Draft Operations group

• Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills, with a self-starting approach
• High-level understanding of and passion for the game of baseball
• Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work well in a team setting as a self-starter
• Ability to relocate to the West Coast
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to travel
• Valid Driver's Licence and access to reliable transportation

• Prior video and/or scouting experience
• High-level (college or professional) playing experience
• Understanding of video equipment and filming techniques
• Video editing abilities
• Bilingual abilities
