We're looking for both a strategic and hands-on IT Operations Director to lead and scale our IT function from the ground up during a period of rapid growth driven by mergers and acquisitions. This person will drive strategic initiatives that mature our technology infrastructure, Fin Ops capabilities, security posture, while simultaneously own day-to-day IT operations. You'll inherit a lean, high-performing team and be expected to elevate processes, design automations, and build systems that reduce manual effort across the organization.
The successful candidate must be equally comfortable and adept at establishing technology roadmaps, advising senior leaders, troubleshooting urgent issues, configuring systems, and working directly with employees and acquired-company teams.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Initiatives
Fin Ops Pipeline: Design and implement (using your team of 4 and consultants as necessary) an automated financial operations pipeline—ingesting data into a data warehouse, and building actional dashboards to replace manually reconciled spreadsheets. Own spend tracking, projection, and reporting.
Operational Excellence: Expand beyond automated on/offboarding to full lifecycle SaaS management—vendor contract storage, invoice alerting, renewal notifications, Shadow IT detection, and integration with the Fin Ops pipeline.
End-to-End Security & Resilience: Formalize backup and disaster recovery procedures across enterprise platforms. Design and lead intentional restore drills. Build documentation and evidence of resilience testing. Manage endpoint protection, DLP policy tuning, and AI app governance.
Rapid HR Pipeline (Sourcing to Onboarding): Take the lead on the IT-to-People Ops onboarding pipeline. Own the technology handshake from recruitment through Day 1—ensuring provisioning, welcome communications, equipment logistics, and system access are seamless and internally driven rather than vendor-dependent.
M&A Support: Lead enterprise IT due diligence for potential acquisitions, including infrastructure, applications, contracts, cybersecurity, staffing, and integration risk.
Division Onboarding: Lead the technology integration of newly acquired or merged divisions ('Divisions') (e.g., migrate teams onto Lemnis Google
