Sr Platform Engineer; GitLab practice

INflow Federal is a defense integrator engineering decision superiority for the Department of War and Intelligence Community. We deliver mission-critical AI/ML, software engineering, digital infrastructure, and cybersecurity capabilities on active DoW and IC programs, with cleared engineers across more than 20 states.

INflow is standing up a Git Lab Professional Services practice as a subcontracting partner to Git Lab. As a Senior Git Lab Dev Sec Ops  Engineer, you will deliver Git Lab-scoped engagements for Git Lab's enterprise and public sector customers, working alongside the Git Lab PS team under Git Lab's methodology, on Git Lab-managed statements of work.

The work is cleared, customer-facing, and runs against defined scopes. You will install and operate Git Lab at enterprise scale, migrate agencies off legacy platforms, design CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops  pipelines, and roll out Git Lab Duo and the Duo Agent Platform (DAP) in environments where the mission depends on getting it right the first time.

• Administer Git Lab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments: install, upgrade, backup and restore, user and group management, runners, Geo replication, and performance tuning.
• Lead enterprise migrations into Git Lab from Git Hub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or SVN. Use Congregate and direct transfer. Deploy Git Lab reference architectures.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, including security scanning (SAST, DAST, dependency, container) and compliance framework integration.
• Configure and roll out the Git Lab Duo Agent Platform (DAP): build and customize agents and flows, enable AI-assisted development workflows, and advise customers on governance and adoption.
• Deliver customer-facing advisory, clear documentation, and knowledge transfer to agency teams. Lead workshops, cutovers, and secure-environment deployments.
• Operate against defined SOWs with Git Lab managing the customer relationship. Scope, estimate, and ship work on schedule.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Dev Ops or platform engineering.
• Hands-on Git Lab administration experience in production (Self-Managed or Dedicated).
• Experience designing, running, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale.
• Strong consulting instincts: clear written and verbal communication, ability to lead a customer meeting, and discipline working to a defined scope.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for workshops, cutovers, and secure facilities when needed.

• Active Git Lab certifications (Git Lab Certified Associate, Professional, or Services Engineer).
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform in production.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure in a Dev Sec Ops  context.
• Prior work on federal, defense, or intelligence community programs.
• Experience with Git Lab Duo, DAP, agentic AI, or AI-assisted development adoption.
• Experience with security scanning tool chains, STIG compliance, or cATO frameworks.

• Direct Git Lab enablement, training on Git Lab PS delivery methods and tooling, and a defined path to Git Lab certifications.
• Work on cleared, high-impact engagements across DoW, IC, and civilian federal customers.
• The opportunity to build INflow's Git Lab practice from the ground up as a founding member.

Minimum of a DoD Secret clearance is required. Top Secret highly desired.

this role requires an active DoD clearance held directly by the candidate at the time of application. Top Secret preferred. Candidates without an active clearance will not be considered.

$150,000 - $250,000 a year

The above is the likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
