Position Overview
Corner Stone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide technology architecture, modernization initiatives, and strategic solution design for a growing financial services organization.
This role will partner closely with business executives, technology leaders, architects, and engineering teams to develop scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in business applications, enterprise integrations, APIs, data flows, architecture governance, and technology roadmaps, along with the ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable architectural strategies.
This is a hands-on architecture leadership position requiring both strategic vision and practical involvement throughout solution design, implementation, and operational transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise architecture initiatives across applications, integrations, data, cloud, infrastructure, security, and identity.
- Develop current-state assessments, target-state architectures, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions supporting critical business operations.
- Establish architecture standards, reference architectures, integration patterns, and governance practices.
- Lead architectural direction for large, multi-year technology transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate technology platforms, vendor solutions, modernization opportunities, and technical investments.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Facilitate architecture reviews, technical workshops, and solution design discussions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to validate designs and guide implementation.
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, simplify application portfolios, and improve interoperability.
- Mentor architects and engineers while promoting architecture best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, Integration Architecture, or related enterprise technology roles.
- 5+ years leading architecture for large enterprise or technology transformation initiatives spanning multiple applications, integrations, and business domains.
- 5+ years serving as a trusted technical advisor to business and technology executives.
- Advanced experience designing enterprise architectures involving:
- Business applications and enterprise platforms
- APIs, integrations, and data flows
- Cloud and infrastructure services
- Security, identity, and operational dependencies
- Enterprise systems interoperability
- Strong experience developing target-state architectures, technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance practices.
- Ability to evaluate complex technical solutions based on scalability, security, cost, risk, and long-term business value.
- Experience leading architecture initiatives from discovery and planning through implementation and operational transition.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Advanced proficiency in enterprise architecture methodologies, modeling techniques, and documentation.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in a technical field or MBA.
- Experience in financial services, banking, credit unions, or another regulated enterprise environment.
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture governance, standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
- TOGAF certification or comparable enterprise architecture credential.
- Cloud or solution architecture certification from a major technology provider.
- Experience with enterprise architecture repositories and modeling tools.
