Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant
Prestigious global firm that is consistently ranked among the top 100 law firms in the US is seeking a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant to support a group of attorneys.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate creation of legal documents as well as editing, proofreading and processing of legal documents upon request of assigned attorneys, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, or other practice specific documents.
- Maintain legal files (both paper & electronic), organize and file documents in designated order.
- Update transaction information, scan and organize legal files.
- Manage document deliveries and track final executed documentation, including:
- Prepare signature pages for execution and distribute them to all closing parties via electronic means (e‑mail, Docu Sign, Adobe E‑Sign, etc.).
- Compile fully executed transaction documents via PDF, including inserting executed signature pages as well as any related Exhibits/Schedules.
- Distribute final closing binders via our file transfer portal.
- Submit Conflicts Request for new matter openings; prepare draft Engagement Letter for same.
- Collaborate and work with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals and other legal support team members where applicable.
- Understand firm available resources and leverage most effective resource for desired results.
- Assist with overflow work and other special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience within a law firm or other professional organization.
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, or agency rules of assigned practice group/dept.
- General knowledge of corporate transaction documents.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management and other office technologies.
