Paralegal Manager

Lead the team. Elevate the work. Protect the vibe.

Who We Are

We’re The Husband & Wife Law Team – and if you’ve seen our Tik Toks, you already know we’re not your typical law firm.

We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We believe in:

  • Big hearts
  • Big results
  • Big personalities

Our mission is simple:
To thoughtfully guide people through adversity to their best possible outcome.

Why You’ll Love It At The Husband & Wife Law Team
  • Your work matters. You’ll help real people through some of the hardest moments of their lives – and that purpose hits different.
  • Excellence is the standard. “World‑class service” isn’t a buzzword here – it’s how we operate, every case, every day.
  • Team energy is everything. We support, celebrate, and show up for each other so our clients feel it too.
  • Hands‑on leadership. You’ll be in the work, shaping systems, mentoring talent, and leveling up outcomes.
  • Ownership encouraged. If you see a better way to do something, we want you to run with it.
  • A culture people stay for. Low turnover because we treat people like humans (wild concept, right?).
  • Bigger than a job. We give back, grow together, and care deeply about our community — and each other.
About the Role

As Paralegal Manager
, you’ll lead, mentor, and elevate our paralegal team while helping drive efficiency, accountability, and an exceptional client experience.

You’re equal parts leader, coach, organizer, and problem‑solver — someone who knows how to balance high standards with high support. You’ll work closely with attorneys and leadership to ensure cases move smoothly, deadlines are met, and the team thrives.

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Loves building strong teams
  • Has a sharp legal mind and strong emotional intelligence
  • Knows systems matter, but people matter more
What You’ll Do (AKA Your Impact)
  • Lead and support a team of paralegals — assigning work, balancing caseloads, and keeping workflows smooth
  • Monitor workloads and performance through audits, reports, and deadlines (without micromanaging)
  • Live and lead our core values — in client experience, internal systems, and team culture
  • Hold weekly 1:1s focused on growth, development, and performance
  • Partner in hiring, promotions, reviews, and other people decisions for the paralegal team
  • Act as the bridge between attorneys and paralegals — clearing roadblocks and solving issues fast
  • Support legal inbox escalations and ensure accurate, timely responses
  • Serve as a thought partner on firm‑wide initiatives and improvements
  • Champion high performance, accountability, and innovation
  • Mentor, train, and coach paralegals — including ongoing education tracking
  • Track CLE credits and recommend additional training when needed
  • Collaborate with legal leadership to improve processes and scale smartly
  • Jump in where needed — because leadership here means being in it with your team
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Paralegal certificate or relevant legal education preferred
  • Experience with cloud‑based legal software (Clio, File Vine, Litify, DOMO, Law Boards, etc.)
  • Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative mindset
  • Strategic thinker who loves solving problems and improving systems
  • Tech‑comfortable and fluent in Google Workspace
  • Organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Strong sense of humor — seriously, it helps here
Things You’ve Done Before
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience (with leadership or management exposure)
  • Managed complex workloads and competing deadlines
  • Supported litigation and/or regulatory matters in a firm or in‑house setting
  • Led or mentored others and enjoyed helping people grow
  • This is a full‑time leadership role and may require extended hours at times
