Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple projects and project managers, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects while meeting financial objectives and client expectations. This role provides strategic leadership, mentors project managers, and acts as a key liaison between clients, operations, and the Ganem team. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for driving excellence in safety, schedule, budget, and quality across all assigned projects.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Oversight: Provides leadership, mentorship, and direction to project managers and project teams. Oversees project performance across multiple jobs, ensuring adherence to company standards and client expectations. Supports the professional growth of project managers by providing training, feedback, and guidance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serves as the primary point of contact for key clients on large or complex projects. Anticipates client needs and ensures satisfaction by delivering exceptional communication, transparency, and service. Builds and maintains long-term relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and vendors.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Reviews project scopes, schedules, and budgets prepared by project managers, ensuring accuracy and feasibility. Supports project managers and superintendents in resolving disputes, mitigating risks, and overcoming challenges. Ensures projects meet all schedule milestones and financial objectives while upholding Ganem's quality and safety standards.
  • Financial &

    Risk Management:

    Monitors financial performance of projects, including cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability. Identifies risks early and implements strategies to avoid or minimize impacts. Reviews and approves change orders, pay applications, and subcontract agreements as needed.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Promotes and enforces Ganem's safety culture across all projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies. Champions continuous improvement in construction methods, quality control, and project delivery. Conducts high-level job walks and quality audits to support project teams.
  • Collaboration & Company Representation: Works closely with the Director of Operations, Preconstruction, and Executive Leadership to align project execution with company goals. Represents Ganem at industry and client events, reinforcing the company's reputation as a trusted partner. Collaborates with other senior leaders to improve company processes and enhance overall team performance.
Minimum Requirements
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction project management including scheduling, cost control, safety, contracts, and building codes.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor and develop project managers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, and construction management platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. LEED certification a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive construction project management experience, including managing teams of project managers and delivering large-scale commercial or multifamily projects.
Work Environment & Travel

This role is based in Phoenix, AZ, with regular visits to project sites and occasional travel as required. Hours may vary depending on workload and project demands.
