Position Purpose

Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive exceptional fitness experience.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds set goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, driving sales initiatives, and establishing a smooth transition into the club experience.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers.
  • Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers to ensure team members are paid correctly and on time.
  • Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to department leaders and staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles.
  • Ensure all fitness staff have appropriate certifications (CPR, First Aid, personal trainer certifications).
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff using clear, specific language to highlight strengths and improvement areas.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Engage members in a friendly, approachable manner, actively listening to needs and concerns, and providing helpful responses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper certifications and safety protocols.
  • Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
  • Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or disruptions, providing necessary instructions and updates.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus.
  • 3-4 years of customer service experience.
  • Personal Training sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels.
  • Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.

Requirements
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have valid PT certification.
  • Previous sales experience required.
  • Ability to work in a gym setting; move about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public.
  • Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents, entering data, reading reports from a computer database or email system.
  • Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.

$58,656—$100,000 USD
