Position: Senior Manager, Quality Assurance (Phoenix, AZ)

About The Role

The Real Real is looking for a candidate who is quick in decision-making, innovative, enjoys staying ahead of the curve and has an interest in the luxury fashion resale market. The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for overseeing overall quality, and consistency, while supporting with insights and quality initiatives. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control strategy for multiple inbound departments
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Actively pursue and create strategic and operational objectives
  • Ensure operational strategies are running on time and as efficiently as possible
  • Track staffing requirements and make hiring decisions as needed
  • Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with TRR standards
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and cross functional partners
  • Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement and partner with leadership on potential corrective actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Lead a team of quality control focussed employees, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of quality awareness and adherence to standards.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain reporting to ensure compliance and trends to make strategic decisions.
  • Responsible for mentoring emerging leaders and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in their careers
  • Accountable for achieving assigned KPIs and ensuring that performance metrics are met
What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of managing specific KPIs with accountability for metrics and the strategies and execution
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a focus on quality or production. Preferably within a fashion, retail, e-commerce organization and/or an operationally intensive business.
  • Previous experience leading a team preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication is required. Candidate must feel comfortable speaking and presenting in large groups on a regular basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities in a matrix organization
  • Knowledge of luxury fashion, top designers, current styles, fabrics, silhouettes, garment construction is highly preferred
  • Understanding of operational processes and feels comfortable working in a production environment
  • Roll up the sleeves, action oriented mindset to have an impact in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing and high growth environment
  • Willingness to continuously develop, understand industry best practices and desire to stay ahead of the curve
  • Advance knowledge of excel and google sheets; comfortable building reports and tracking data
  • Strong leadership with a focus on identifying top talent, fostering career development into new or existing roles and ability to drive results in a production based environment
  • Comfortable with multitasking and making in the moment decision based on business needs
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and changes approach or method to best fit the situation

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in looker, looker studios, Excel, Zapier
  • Experience using the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Ability to travel 25%
