INFO REQUIRED TO SUBMIT:
Akkodis is searching for a Project Manager, with Landscape Architecture experience to support a design firm focused on public parks, master planned communities, high end retail, resort and hospitality developments. This role will assist the team in preparation and oversight of the analysis and field inventory documents, public park and facilities master planning, site conceptual design, planting design, and construction drawings.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Business development:
Actively participate in business development by preparing proposals, building new relationships, and representing the firm at client meetings and industry events. - Client relations:
Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders. - Team oversight:
Manage direct reports, including training, and mentoring, and ensuring proper allocation of resources for all projects. - Budget and resource management:
Create, manage, and monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure efficiency and profitability. - Project oversight:
Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of multiple, complex projects, including public park facilities, trails and Trailheads, recreation centers, educational campuses, urban infill and redevelopment, and master planned communities. - Project lifecycle management:
Direct and manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution from initial concept to completion. - Quality and compliance:
Ensure that designs and projects adhere to high-quality standards, safety policies, and all applicable codes and regulations. - Quality assurance:
Implement and monitor quality control standards to ensure all project deliverables and designs meet high-quality standards. - Regulatory compliance:
Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding land use, zoning, and environmental impact.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2024 or later
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment
- Strong speaking and written communication skills
- Registered Landscape Architect
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong experience managing project life cycles, budgets, and schedules.
- 10+ years professional design firm experience, including project coordination
- Professional experience working with LandFX, Civil 3D, Revit, Lumion
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
- Proficiency in Sketchup 2024 or later
