As the Hospital Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Sunnyslope Trauma Hospital while championing AHS' core values of innovation, compassion, and excellence. You'll lead and develop a high performing team, oversee staffing and training, ensure efficient hospital operations, and maintain strong communication with veterinarians, employees, leadership, and HR.

You’ll also play a key role in ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards of patient care, including overseeing policies and procedures, controlled drug requirements, licensing, safety, and regulatory standards. This role will manage department budgets and purchasing, monitor operational data, respond to urgent treatment and transfer needs, and identify opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred OR three to five years' management experience.
• Three to five years' in a veterinary medicine role required.
• Minimum three years veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required.
• Knowledge of AZ Premise and DEA requirements preferred.
• Experience in an animal welfare organization preferred.
• Must have excellent attention to detail, be able to solve complex problems with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Able to flourish in a high-volume, fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and be able to resolve conflict.
• Able to speak, read, write and understand English. Spanish language helpful.
• Able to develop budgets and estimate costs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening to be compliant with DEA requirements for dispensing controlled drugs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
