Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Operator

Company: APEL Extrusions, Inc.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm (training during day shift)

Job Summary: The Wastewater Treatment Operator operates and maintains the wastewater treatment system in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspect and ensure the proper operation of waste equipment.
• Monitor and analyze water quality.
• Read meters, gauges, and instruments needed to monitor, meter, and regulate waste and chemical equipment.
• Collect samples and perform on‑site analysis.
• Calculate and log results from laboratory data and maintain test records to prepare federal and state wastewater treatment reports.
• Manage chemical treatment processes and maintain chemical inventories.
• Maintain records for wastewater systems and chemical treatments and report failures or operating inefficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Preferred – college degree in chemistry or related field.
• 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment or a wastewater lab.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
