Shift: Graveyard - Monday-Thursday 8pm-6am

• This schedule is expected to eventually transition to 12-hour shifts, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
• Training on Day Shift Required

APEL Extrusions, Inc. is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions, with six extrusion presses and a full array of finishing capabilities occupying over 600,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space employing approximately 300 people. APEL serves the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor has direct responsibility to safely lead and manage all operational aspects of the facility for their shift, coordinating with Management on daily requirements and establishing plans to accommodate those goals with their production team. The incumbent will ensure and enforce the adherence to all APEL safety guidelines, work instructions and job requirements and work collaboratively with colleagues and department leaders, communicating requirements, and providing direction to the shift team.

• Manufacturing and production management experience.
• Experience maintaining a highly capitalized manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrable and proven experience managing people and priorities.
• Education/training in safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Work with management to plan and coordinate production to meet production goals.
• Manage graveyard shift personnel including scheduling, time sheets, and time‑off requests.
• Maintain equipment and keep equipment running reliably and efficiently.
• Maintain full working knowledge of all the equipment in the facility.
• Review and follow work orders and best practice requirements, following customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Adhere to and promote all safety requirements.
• Familiarity with Aluminum standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of supervisory experience
