Wash Aisle Employee

Apply to join Vestis Corporation as a Wash Aisle Employee. Perform work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, ensuring safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise in and out of the laundry facility.

• Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record & sign the equipment safety form.
• Retrieve and maneuver slings for loading washer and dryer, ensuring correct placement and preventing mix of lots.
• Stage batches together for maximum product/wash utilization, position washer/dryer properly (tilt up), and load them by untying the bottom cord of the sling.
• Close doors, lower machine to horizontal position, select appropriate formula, and start the machine.
• Document batch tickets and weight information in the system, and transport cleaned slings to hoist staging area.
• Unload washer and dryer safely, verifying moisture levels, transporting items, and storing them in the correct area.
• Verify proper moisture retention, load weight limits, and inspect slings for damage.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all production best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Understand all required written and verbal instructions, including training materials.
• Basic math skills for weight and batch calculations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance and schedule requirements.

Work performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. Shift schedule may include weekends; overtime may be required.

Physical requirements:

move/maneuver slings up to 220 lbs, lift/carry products up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, pull, press at shoulder level and below waist, use hands for grasping, stand and walk for long periods.

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
