Job Description

Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, the Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for providing day‑to‑day equipment and facility support for manufacturing, and/or associated facility/utilities mechanical support. Assistant tasks include supporting and monitoring equipment performance and maintenance, proposing and developing equipment and facility improvements, and troubleshooting process equipment to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient operations. The role actively ensures compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, and environmental regulations while achieving operating cost goals.

  • Assist with air conditioning repairs and change filters
  • Assist with minor forklift repairs
  • Assist with sheet metal work

  • Assist with minor machinery repairs
  • Perform special projects as required
  • Operate forklift or drive company vehicles as required
  • Maintain quality up to acceptable standards with minimal discrepancies
  • Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence (ITAR compliance)
  • Ability to safely use a variety of tooling, including specialized tools
  • Moderate to proficient experience in general maintenance and repairs
  • Moderate to proficient understanding of mechanics
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned
  • Willingness to work consistently, overtime, and travel as required
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company
  • Professional conduct in a business‑like and civil manner
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work with minimal repeated instructions
  • Team‑oriented with flexibility and adaptability

Physical Requirements

The employee must continuously stand, walk, use hands and fingers for grasping, carry, climb, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, turn, twist, push and pull.
