Position Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Production Lead is responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production processes and meet organization goals. This role requires an elevated level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. The Production Lead will perform equipment operations, conduct routine maintenance tasks, monitor production quality, optimize efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions, adhering to company policies and relevant laws.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and federal/state/compliance guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards by conducting regular checks and inspections; take corrective actions as required.
- Operate assigned machinery and equipment – including production machines, manufacturing tools, assembly lines, or computer‑controlled systems – according to established procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment, preventing breakdowns and quickly resolving malfunctions.
- Optimize production efficiency: adjust settings, monitor rates, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment performance, incidents, and deviations; complete required reports and logs.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Keep the work area clean and organized; store materials safely and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Handle materials: receive, inspect, verify incoming supplies, transport them with forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, and store them for easy retrieval.
- Operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks with required certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of experience as a Production Lead or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude; ability to operate and troubleshoot various equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration and clear information conveyance.
- Physical stamina; ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a demanding environment.
- Compliance with health and hygiene standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
- This role is performed on site at a facility that processes peanuts/tree nuts; employees may routinely work where peanuts/tree nuts allergens are present. Reasonable accommodations may be available to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.
