Controls Technician; PLC​/VFD - Manufacturing​/Facilities

Job Description

Pay: $38–$55 per hour, depending on experience

Overview

TRIFECTA is hiring Controls Technicians to support manufacturing and industrial facilities across Arizona.

This role focuses on day-to-day PLC and VFD support in live production environments—responding to downtime, troubleshooting controls issues, and keeping systems running.

This is facilities-based maintenance work.

No travel. No project rotation.

What You’ll Do (Daily Reality)

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment
• Support and diagnose VFDs, motors, sensors, and HMIs
• Respond to equipment downtime and restore operations safely
• Make small logic changes and adjustments as needed
• Work alongside maintenance and operations teams on the floor
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings
• Follow LOTO, safety, and site procedures

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Controls or Automation Technician
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
• Experience supporting VFDs and HMIs in manufacturing facilities
• Comfortable troubleshooting live production systems
• Strong safety awareness and judgment
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Manufacturing maintenance background
• Experience in food & beverage, packaging, or high-speed production
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• SCADA exposure (if applicable)

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-Time
• Local manufacturing facilities
• No travel required
• Overtime may be available depending on site
