CNC Machinist- 2nd shift

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist role in Eugene.

• Operate and monitor CNC machining centers and lathes during 2nd shift operations to produce precision components.
• Set up machines, including installing tooling, positioning fixtures, loading programs, and verifying setup accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to machine parts to exact tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
• Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to ensure consistent part quality and efficient cycle times.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and minor mechanical problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance in all machining and production areas.
• Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet nightly production goals.
• Accurately document machining data, inspection results, and tool usage throughout the shift.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment cleaning.

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal machining or manufacturing training preferred.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience is preferred, but skilled candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining processes is a strong plus.
