Job Summary
The Lamination Press Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring lamination press equipment to bond materials according to production specifications. This role ensures all quality standards, safety procedures, and production goals are consistently met in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor lamination press machines according to work orders and specifications
- Load and unload materials including paper, film, plastics, and composite products
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and alignment to ensure proper machine operation
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
- Accurately record production data, scrap, and downtime
- Communicate equipment issues or material shortages to supervisors
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Unwrap bundles of coated products
- Clean and inspect products for damage, scratches, or defects
- Repeatedly lift products from bundles onto conveyors for bagging
- Remove bagged products from conveyors and place them onto oven trolleys
- Ensure bags are sealed tightly with no seams, lines, or wrinkles to allow proper sublimation
- Load oven trolleys and monitor the baking process
- Remove bags from sublimated products
- Unload finished products and stack them onto carts for packing
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred
- Experience with lamination, press, or converting equipment is a plus
- Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of hands for machine operation and material handling
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
$18.00 per hour
