SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Great opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to work for a global manufacturing technology leader located in Phoenix, AZ.
Our client is a high-tech facilities manufacturer looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for fabrication and assembly processes, continuous improvement, tooling, and manufacturing and plant layouts.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage process development projects, ensuring completion from start to finish
- Support and/or lead product launch activities
- Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
- Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
- Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
- Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
- Confer with clients regarding product specifications, vendors regarding purchases, management regarding manufacturing capabilities, and staff regarding project status
- Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements
- Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or relevant experience
- At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment required
