Lead Welder / Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Lead Welder / Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations, lead our welding team, and ensure high-quality production of TIG welded aluminum extrusion assemblies. This role is responsible for managing workflow, supervising personnel, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement within the facility. This is a hands-on leadership position for a skilled professional who can both manage and actively contribute on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all welding and fabrication operations, specializing in TIG welding of aluminum extrusions

• Manage daily production schedules to meet deadlines and customer specifications

• Oversee shop personnel including welders, helpers, and fabrication staff

• Ensure all welds meet quality standards, tolerances, and inspection requirements

• Implement and enforce safety policies

• Coordinate material flow, inventory control, and equipment maintenance

• Train, mentor, and develop welding staff to improve performance and skill levels

• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and implement process improvements

• Maintain organized, efficient shop operations and workflow

• Communicate with ownership regarding production goals, staffing, and operational needs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of TIG welding experience, preferably with aluminum extrusions

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and fabrication standards

• Experience managing shop operations, workflow planning, and production targets

• Ability to maintain high quality control standards

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• OSHA and/or AWS certifications preferred

• Ability to balance hands-on welding with operational oversight

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team. This hire will be a full-time position, splitting time between assisting our controller and helping in customer service.
