The Events Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Development Department, with a focus on signature events such as Compassion with Fashion and Home in One Golf Tournament. Additionally, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for executing third-party events with community partners, as well as supporting logistics for donor cultivation events. The Events Coordinator will also assist with all administrative needs, including the management of auctions, raffles, and volunteer committee support.
Job Requirements- Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in event planning or non-profit development; OR experience in corporate relations or outside sales; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and provide an excellent experience every time to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Must be an innovative and creative team player who is self‑motivated and is able to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills required.
- Must be able to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to articulate AHS mission, programs and services.
- Prior special event and silent auction management desired.
- Able to speak, read and write English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Proficiency in Raiser's Edge fundraising database and Give Smart software a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. There may be occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander.
Most time will be spent in a typical air‑conditioned and heated office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
