Clinical Nurse - Part Time East Valley

Position Summary

This position is for our East Valley Surgery Center, Part TIME. We are looking for an experienced Pre Op/PACU nurse to join our amazing team! We specialize in pediatric outpatient surgeries including Orthopedics, ENT, GI, General Surgery, Urology and Ophthalmology. Must have a minimum of 2 years in a critical care hospital experience. Pediatrics is preferred but not required. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, no weekends, no holidays, cases can be scheduled from 0600 - 1500.

The position will work a rotating schedule of 2, 8 hour shifts one week and 3, 8 hour shifts the next week. Our case load week to week is variable so must have the ability to flexible and willing to not get full hours. This position is Benefits eligible for you and the family and is 20 hours a week.

This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)

• Pediatric experience. (Preferred)

• Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
