Clinical Nurse

Under the guidance of a Nurse Manager or Executive DON (Ambulatory), the Clinical Nurse delivers high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care in close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners. This role is hands‑on, dynamic, and central to creating an exceptional patient experience.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will perform comprehensive patient care—from assessments and medication administration to developing individualized care plans and identifying patient needs. You’ll provide or delegate care in alignment with Valley wise Health policies, always serving as a strong patient advocate and educator. You’ll ensure accurate, timely documentation, support and guide ancillary staff as needed, and actively contribute to teamwork, communication, and continuous quality improvement.

Hourly Pay Rate: $48.00

Qualifications Education
  • Requires a Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
Experience
  • Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valley wise Health, must have at least one year of Valley wise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience in the area for which he or she is applying for is preferred.
Certification / Licensure
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or avalid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
    • Pre Op/PACU (Other than Peoria): Must obtain ACLS and PALS within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer. Must obtain TCAR and PCAR within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • The ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
