Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is a level 1 Trauma, Magnet, Teaching hospital. The main operating rooms have 24 suites that include 2 Hyrbrid, 2 DaVinci rooms and MIS rooms. Specialties make working Banner University Medical Center an exciting and diverse place to challenge yourself. The specialties include:
General, Trauma, ENT, OMFS, Plastics, Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Gyn, Urology, Ophthalmology, vascular, transplants, TAVR’s, hearts, Bariatric and NICU babies. As a large and busy hospital we perform over 300 cases weekly.

As a
** PRE-OP PACU RN at this facility**, you will have the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre-op and post-surgical patients in a manner consistent with our mission statement. You will work within both pre-op holding and a post-anesthesia care unit, where patients are cared for and monitored. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea that often follow anesthesia.

Previous experience in either Pre Op/PACU, ICU or ED service lines is preferred.

SHIFT DETAILSWe have both day and night shifts available. These are Full Time, 3 12's a week. Days/Nights of the week will vary. Weekend and holiday rotations will be required.

Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.

POSITION SUMMARY  This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
