Position Summary- Coordinate functions and activities related to a single departmental function.
- Responsible for a clinic unit and coordinates scheduling of unit RNs.
- Act as liaison to internal and external customers (pre‑hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration).
- Develop plans and implement processes to meet regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor staff.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to implement change and assist with management of departmental budget.
- Independent decision making in high‑stress situations.
Other members of the healthcare team.
Minimum EducationNursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
Preferred EducationBSN.
Minimum ExperienceTwo years of relevant clinical nursing experience. For Level II EQ Only:
Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
Management experience with two years of supervisory experience. Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Required Certifications / Licensure- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR.
- ACLS required upon orientation for ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D.
- PALS or ENPC required for ER (must obtain within 90 days).
- ACL in PACU required or obtain within six months of hire; PALS preferred.
- NRP required for Post‑partum, Nursery, L&D upon orientation.
- Bariatrics:
Certification or specialized training in bariatrics specialty area of practice. - Wound Care:
Wound‑Ostomy Certification or training in wound care and/or ostomy care.
Advanced Fetal Monitoring (L&D only) or obtain within six months of hire.
