Great careers start with great training. Banner Health invests in our nurses by training them to confidently and safely deliver excellent patient care. Our training and development opportunities can help you grow.

Come to a department with heart and about heart. The Surgical Progressive Care Department (PCU) at Banner University Medical Center‑Phoenix provides a solid cardiac foundation that creates an outstanding cardiac nurse who can leverage this experience to advance in areas such as the Intensive Care Units (ICU), Emergency Department (ED) and Operating Room (OR). PCU nurses are highly recruited for their critical thinking skills, which are developed through the acuity of patients we care for.

We are currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses but at this time we are accepting applications for those that have Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical or any other acute or critical care background.

As a Surgical PCU Registered Nurse, you will care for a wide variety of patients, such as vascular, cardio‑thoracic surgical, heart transplantation, and heart failure, and offer treatment modalities such as Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) and TAH (Total Artificial Heart). Our academic model and teaching orientation supports learning at all levels, and is truly a collaborative environment between nursing, physicians and other therapies.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in our Nursing Clinical Ladder Program, a tool that recognizes nurses that demonstrate contributions to patients, profession, and society above and beyond job requirements. Team work is STRONG in this department, and support to be your best self is great. Join us as we improve the lives of the patients we care for through outstanding nursing care.

This opening is for a PART‑TIME Night Shift opening and will require 2 shifts per week from 7 pm‑7:30 am, with weekends and holidays included on a rotating basis. You will also have the opportunity to utilize our self‑scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18 % night shift differential and a flat rate $3 / hour weekend shift differential. Your pay and benefits are important components of your journey at Banner Health.

Banner Health offers a variety of benefits to help you and your family.
