Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts

• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks required (weekend days are Saturday/Sunday)

• Holiday work as needed by unit

• Must have Level 1 trauma experience

• Required to pass dysrhythmia exam before accepting position (2 attempts allowed)

• Expected to float to telemetry floors and other med/surg/tele areas

• Must have recent med/surg experience; telemetry experience preferred

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5

• Care for patients with post-op, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infection diagnoses

• Titrate Heparin drips (no cardiac drips)

• Required certification: BLS

• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)

• 2 shifts of unit orientation with preceptor

• Must have own vehicle for travel

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs, natural hair color only, no facial piercings

• Men must be clean shaven for fit test

• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation

• No call or standby requirements

• Charting system:
Cerner

• BSN not required
