Job Summary
As a Medical Special Precautions Nurse at SJHMC, you will lead nursing care for telemetry patients requiring advanced precautions, in a 10‑bed unit. Your role ensures safe, evidence‑based care for patients with critical conditions and other service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.
Responsibilities- Provides comprehensive, safe, evidence‑based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with patient needs and comfort.
- Demonstrates accountability for ethical behavior, supporting ethical practice by addressing and escalating issues.
- Advocates for patients’ needs, demonstrating holistic care practices.
- Recognizes and adapts to changes in patients’ condition (labs, vitals, signs, test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school, upon hire.
- Registered Nurse license in Arizona, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
- One year recent acute‑care experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay Range$35.00 – $58.63 per hour.
