Responsibilities
Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse to join our Intake team. PRN needed—each shift is 12 hours.
The Intake and Assessment Nurse provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates admission process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The nurse also assists the physician by providing face-to-face clinical assessments, including history of presenting illness, family dynamics, and psychosocial information.
May be assigned Team Lead role at discretion of the Intake and Assessment Director.

- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
- Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Preferred one year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 12-65+ years. For geriatric unit, 1 year of med/surge experience is strongly preferred.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
